The Kingston Farmers Market takes place outdoors on the grounds of the Aurora Inn in Kingston, Nova Scotia.
Join us on Thursday afternoons through the summer for local food, fresh produce, baked goods, prepared meals, handmade items, live music, workshops, and a relaxed community market atmosphere.
Stop in after work, pick up supper, bring the kids, meet a friend, or spend the evening browsing the market.
The market is at 831 Main Street, on the grounds of the Aurora Inn.
Street parking is available along Maple Street, Pine Ridge Avenue, and the north side of Main Street east of the Aurora Inn. Additional parking is available in the back lot at Freeman’s Esso and along the east side of Maple Street.
The school parking lots at Kingston and District School are available after 3:00 PM. During the school year, Pine Ridge Avenue opens up after 3:25 PM.
If you need accessible parking, the paved front lot at the Aurora Inn is your best option. There are both paved pathways and grass areas on the grounds, so plan accordingly if you use a mobility device.
Traffic picks up on Thursday afternoons around the market. Give yourself a few extra minutes and watch for pedestrians, children, cyclists, and other drivers.
Prefer two wheels? Bike racks are available on site.
Look for the Welcome Tent near the entrance. Our volunteers wear KFM aprons or orange bandanas. They’re happy to answer questions and help you get oriented.
The market grounds have quieter areas near the Welcome Tent and livelier ones near the food trucks. Seating is available throughout the site, including communal tables, lawn chairs, and room to spread a blanket on the south lawn.
Washrooms are on site. We call them the Peepods. You’re welcome.
Each week brings a mix of local farmers, food producers, bakers, makers, artisans, and community vendors.
Depending on the week, you may find fresh produce, meat, cider, baked goods, preserves, coffee, prepared food, flowers, handmade gifts, art, body products, pet treats, and more.
The market is more than a place to shop. Throughout the season, visitors can enjoy live music, workshops, and special themed market days.

Cash is always useful at the market. Many vendors also accept debit, credit, or e-transfer.
You can purchase Market Bucks at the Welcome Booth using debit or credit. Market Bucks can be used at any vendor booth, and vendors will provide change in cash.
This is a handy option if you want to shop around the market using one card payment.
The Kingston Farmers Market is held outdoors, so it’s a good idea to dress for the weather and bring reusable bags or a basket for your purchases.
Admission is free.
Most vendors accept cash, e-transfer, credit, and debit. Market Dollars are also available if you’d like one card to shop with across the market.
Vendor attendance can vary from week to week, especially for seasonal produce, guest vendors, and occasional vendors. Follow the market on Facebook or Instagram for weekly updates, vendor announcements, music schedules, activities, and weather-related notices.
Dogs are welcome on leash. Waste bags and water bowls are available on the grounds.
Kids can enjoy a dedicated play area under the big tree on the south lawn, along with themed activities each week.
