Where can people find you at the Market?

I can usually be found setting up for the market as well as greeting our wonderful vendors as they enter the market

What do you do on non-market days?

When I’m not at the market I’m knee deep in school work working on my Masters to become a Registered Counselling Therapist. I also love spending my time with my family exploring all the wonderful places the valley has to offer.

Favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market?

My favourite thing about the market is getting to know the vendors and seeing the whole community come together to laugh and enjoy this beautiful market. I am so proud to be apart of it and work with an incredible group of volunteers to make each Thursday a success.

Where can people find you at the Market?

Setting up with awesome people!

What do you do on non-market days?

Dog walking, fitness for longevity, playing board games, and reading.

Favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market?

It’s a wonderful space for everyone to gather and enjoy time together and support each other.

Maggie

Where can people find you at the Market?

I’m everywhere! I love to be working behind the scenes setting up, welcoming vendors, and managing the volunteer schedules, and I enjoy being a “hype-girl” for the bands and contests we run!

What do you do on non-market days?

What’s a non-market day? EVERDAY is market day! I’m also a new Commissioner for the Village of Kingston, and love to volunteer for local festivals and events.

Favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market?

I love the community of volunteers and vendors I have the absolute pleasure and privilege to work alongside. It is so rewarding and fun to show up on market day and laugh along with all these amazing people!

Lesley

Where can people find you at the Market?

I am often at the Market grounds for set up in the mornings. 
Then I vend, and am at my tent along side the other vendors 3-7pm

What do you do on non-market days?

I am a full time artist and spend my days obsessively and excitedly designing and making images and items. I produce a jewellery line in precious metal and have collections of greeting cards, drawings and paintings.

Favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market?

There is more than one thing to love about KFM – but essentially it is the atmosphere created when local producers and artisans come together:
Finding a special or unique vendor item for a gift.
Picking up fresh and local veggies for dinner.
Seeing kids run around playing.
Everyone enjoying the music.
Everyone eating food.

Where can people find you at the Market?

I can be found helping with set up.

What do you do on non-market days?

On non-market days I hang out with friends and practice for the swim team.

Favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market?

My favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market is participating in all the fun workshops and meeting new people.

Laurie Green

Where can people find you at the Market?

I’m part of the early morning set up crew. You can find me setting up tents, moving tables and chairs and making the grounds look beautiful for the arrival of our vendors and the community. 
Once the grounds are ready, you can find me greeting our amazing vendors as they arrive and assisting them in finding their location for the day.

What do you do on non-market days?

When I’m not at the market I enjoy reading a good book and baking sourdough bread at home. I love spending time with my husband and my two daughters and exploring everything that the beautiful Annapolis Valley has to offer.

Favourite thing about the Kingston Farmer’s Market?

I love the sense of community that the market brings. So much pride goes into the market from start to finish. Seeing the community come out to support our incredible vendors is amazing.

Where can people find you at the Market?

I do market marshal , vendor greeter

What do you do on non-market days?

I help out at my family farm. I also run my own business a little craft shop and baked goods
